August Family Favorite Camping Recipe Choice
Jazz's Favorite French Toast Recipe
Try this breakfast classic at the campground. Ingredients:
· 4 eggs, beaten
· 1 tablespoon milk
· 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
· 6-8 slices thick bread
· maple syrup
· butter or margarine
Preparation:
Start your campstove and warm a skillet over medium heat. While the skillet is warming, beat eggs, milk and cinnamon together in a bowl. Dip a slice of bread in the egg mixture and use a fork to turn the bread over to coat both sides. Place coated bread on the hot skillet and cook until done, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove to a plate and serve with butter or margarine and maple syrup. Fresh fruit is also a nice treat. Serve & Enjoy with friends and family.

Recipe:
- One whole chicken (3-4 lbs)
- Vegetable Oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Onion Salt
- Basil
- Oregano
- Italian Seasoning
- 1 whole lemon
1. Clean and skin the chicken
2. Cut the lemon into quarters and place inside the chicken cavity
3. Rub entire chicken generously with oil and season it with the spices you prefer; making a nice rub.
4. Place the chicken on a cooking rack or dish
5. Preheat your grill to 350 degrees. Place the chicken inside and cover with foil.
6. Cook for approximately 1 hour; make sure the temperature remains the same throughout.

Cheesy Hash Brown Casserole
INGREDIENTS: 1 kg frozen hash browns 1 medium onion finely chopped 1 can cream of mushroom soup 500 ml sour cream 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese salt & pepper to taste
parmesan cheese
2 tbsp melted butter or margarine
DIRECTIONS: Mix all ingredients except parmesan cheese and melted butter. Place in a casserole dish. Top with parmesan & melted butter. Bake covered at 350 F for 45 minutes. Remove cover and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown. Enjoy!
